Refund computations will be based on the actual instruction received through the last date of attendance. The effective date of the termination for refund purposes will be the earliest of the following:

• The last day of attendance, if the student is terminated by the school
• The date of receipt of written notice from the student
• The 10^th school day following the last day of attendance

If tuition is collected in advance of entrance and, if after the expiration of the 72-hour cancellation privilege, the student does not enter school, terminates enrollment, or withdraws, the school may retain up to $50 as administrative expenses; and, from the remainder, shall refund that portion of the classroom tuition and fees and behind-the-wheel tuition and fees for services not previously received by the student.  

Refunds for items of extra expense to the student, including instructional supplies, books, laboratory fees, service charges, rentals, deposits, and all other such ancillary miscellaneous charges, will be made within 30 days after the effective date of enrollment termination if these items are stated separately and shown as part of the data furnished to the student before enrollment.

A full refund of all tuition and fees is due and refundable in each of the following cases:

• When an enrollee is not accepted by the school
• If the course of instruction is discontinued by the school at this location
• If the student's enrollment was procured as a result of any misrepresentation in advertising, promotional materials of the school, or misrepresentation by the owner or representation of the school

Refunds shall be completed within 30 days after the effective date of termination.

• Complete the driver education program and receive your Certificate of Completion.
• Watch a 2-hour video online and print the certificate.
• Complete the 30-hour log.
• Verification of Enrollment & Attendance Form (VOE) - VOE is valid for 30 days after issuance from school.

After six months of receiving your learner's permit, you can take the road test at any DPS or certified third-party school. If 18 years old or older, you don't have to wait six months to get your license. Bring your DDS Certificate of Completion, 30-Hour Log, VOE and Impact Texas Certificate to a DPS location to get your license.

If gas exceeds an increase of 10 cents per gallon from the time of registration, an additional fuel charge of $15 will be charged for each driving lesson. 

You have 180 days, from the first day you are eligible to schedule a behind-the-dheel lesson, to complete all 7 lessons for the course. If you do not complete all seven driving lessons within the given 180 days, a $75 reinstatement fee will be required to finish the course. 

A no-show fee of $40 will be charged if the school is not notified of a cancellation at least three hours prior to a scheduled in-car lesson. All fees incurred must be paid prior to scheduling the final behind-the-wheel lesson.

You will first receive a temporary learner's license from DPS that is valid for 30 days. Your permanent learner's license will expire on your 18th birthday. If you have not received your permanent learner's permit in the mail by the third week, you can track it by visiting the TX DPS website. If you drive with an expired temporary permit, you can receive a citation for an invalid license. 

You must take the following items to the Texas Department of Public Safety when you apply for your Texas Learner's Permit:

• Student's birth certificate (original or certified copy only), US passport, or Resident Alien Card
• Social Security Card - Original
• Verification of Enrollment (VOE) and Attendance Form (get from your high school)
• Parent's proof of Texas residency (2 documents are needed, i.e. utility bills)
• Parent's proof of relationship to student
• DE-964 Form (get from the driving school)
• Parent must sign the Texas residency affidavit at the DPS.

You are allowed to miss up to five class days or 10 classroom hours. These classes can be made up by attending the next time the lesson is held. For example, if you miss days 5, 10, and 13, then you need to come in on days 5, 10, and 13 of another class.

If a student is absent in excess of 10 classroom hours, the student enrollment will be terminated.

Past 10 minutes, the student is late and marked absent for the day.  

Any person between 14 and 25 years old

You can start the driver education course as soon as you turn 14 years old - but you must wait until you are 15 years of age to be eligible for a learner's license. The learner's license allows teenagers to drive a vehicle with a licensed passenger aged 21 or older.
